Zod and I write a new poem each on a topic picked by a neutral party.

Deadline, 24 hrs. from now.

Same challenge to Dance.

If in fact I cannot write, the proof will be in the pudding.

Prove your worth in this group or shut the fuck up.

You have until 11pm, to accept or not.

If not, then all will know the bullshit you both post.

The clock is ticking.

We suggest "forbidden love."

Some may question your neutrality.

If not, 'Forbidden Love' it is

Let's make it easy for the General. Write a poem about dancing around a campfire to a stringed instrument. Make sure to name (and possibly repeat) at least three primary colors. No complete sentences are allowed, unless by accident.

We are "someone," are we not?

Much too easy

War Paint

Red, green, yellow, feathers
the cadence call, Q, Q, Q
where are you, the call of lightning bird,
swoops to the young lovers,
white man with foul mouth,
the kiss to squaw, 'me thirteen'
'me Dharma. I am green with envy,
you yellow woman, me Jerry Lee wannabe
with much ivory to tickle till my balls
turn red.

I'm willing to assume the presence of a campfire due to the connotations of the poem's title, but I don't see any reference to a stringed instrument.

Correction: I just checked google and the piano is considered both a string and a percussive instrument, so your poem meets all of the qualifications.

Well it seems Zod and Dance have disappeared...sleeping? I'd assume Dance,

Drinking? I assume Zod, (some poets) but there is still time to accept

So far, their mouths don't line up with the bluster.

Seems that challenge has gone the way they all do.

Most of the 'donkey crew' has been challenged to a toe to toe writing exhibit.

One new poem each, any topic

No response, though they have no trouble telling me and the group, I cannot write poetry. So, I ask, why not accept the challenge and prove what your posts say.

It seems your questions have been answered, Mr. Burrows.

They still have two hours to take the challenge, I'll wait.

Here's my entry:

CHATTAHOOCHEE BLUE

Blue, blue, midnight blue
Does Loretta love me true?
Blue, blue, guitar song
Would Loretta do me wrong?
Dancing naked 'neath the trees
Dancing where nobody sees..
Just me and the guitar man
Dirty Mike who says he can
Strum his guitar all night long
Hear him play a deep blue song!
Leaning back, I watch the skies
Slowly close my bleary eyes.....

Red, red, bonfire bright
Loretta's in Mike's bed tonight....
Horsemen riding, blue, blue, blue
Don't know what I'm gonna do.....
Blackout drunk and blackout sore
Swear I'll fix that two-bit whore...
Stormclouds gather black as night
Watch the bonfire burning bright
Red like bloodstains on my hands......
Hope my jury understands.

Late entry:

Donna-Roo
by NancyGene

Whirl, hurl, Donna girl
Got three feet and tooth like pearl

White, white, her tooth is white
Dances naked through the night

Night, night, black, black light
Lit by sparks from guitar fights

Fights, fights in bonfire shallows
Donna spreads her thighs marshmallow

Marshmallow pink, pink with stink
Makes a man pull up, out, think

Think, think of red, red, meat
she sells for cheap on city streets

Streets, streets with blue, blue strobes
Highlight Donna’s hanging globes

Globes, robes, stained with yellow
Yellow piss for hobo Jell-O

Jell-O, Jell-O, Donna-tello
I won’t be long her camp Longfellow
