Excellent, as always! Thank you, Michael, for your great work on the "A Year of Sundays" literary dynasty.

The painting for August is somewhat of a departure from beautiful red-haired women showing us how to live gracefully but longingly. The painting is "The Shepherd's Dream, from 'Paradise Lost,'" by Henry Fuseli, owned by the Tate Gallery. From their website:

"fairy elves,

Whose midnight revels by a forest side
Or fountain some belated peasant sees,
Or dreams he sees, while over head the moon
Sits arbitress, and nearer to the earth
Wheels her pale course, they on their mirth and dance
Intent, with jocund music charm his ear;
At once with joy and fear his heart rebounds."

Ah, Hell I didn't save July's page for the digital collection >.<
Hey! Ash had to finally get back to living and prior commitments that he set aside to come to this wasteland to intone the Ashen Word to the doomed...
I don't know about any thanks to Ash, did he even compose anything this month? He can no longer keep all his flame branding straight any longer...

Ladies and Gentlemen, I was growing disheartened, that this had become an institution. That all the spirit had been stripped from the slander and murderin' words. That all the slings and arrows had become the same old desperation's death throes. You have once again put a smile on my face, but I hate to disappoint, these aren't tears of joy-- merely all the smoke stinging my eyes and I cannot see any truths among all the swirling spin. But I can still hear the uproar of the conflagration. And the egos still writhing on spits being seared by its flames.
~ Silly Mockery: the Fevered Veteran of the Endless Flame Wars, IX
o.0 Did I let my secret slip? Each reader will decide, if my fight was right or egregious.

SO A TOAST TO THE ROAST

"Yay!" they say I'm "woke"
and most definitely "outspoke"
It has certainly become a joke
these biting flames we stoke
and all the chagrin of folk
now most rudely "awoked"
sore asses acutely provoked
by the stinging lick of ire
from the strife's fire
