AKIVA WEITZELBAUM (Brooklyn, New York) is a local Brooklyn day
laborer who writes poetry at night.

PEDRO RIVAS (Houston, Texas) is 23 years old, attends Houston
Community College. He likes starring at the sun and running with
scissors. He is lazy and good looking, quite possibly too good
looking.

The San Fernando Branch of the California Writers Club will sponsor
their annual Writers Journey Conference June 3rd and June 4th. At
the Sisters of Assisi Retreat House in San Fernando. The focus this
year is on the Mystery of Writing. June 3rd at 7PM we are having a
Who-Dun-It party where we plan to hob-nob with the faculty. ($25
dollars additional) Come and find out who we kill off! Retired
Detective turned writer Lee Lofland will be our Slueth. You can stay
overnight at the retreat for $65 per person - limited space -
register in advance.

June 4th begins the all day conference $85 for CWC members ($95 for
nonmembers) includes bagel and coffee breakfast, snacks and lunch.
