We've decided to add a new category to the FAQ: 'The Golden pavillion of
poetic immortality'. Members of this category can dismiss anyone out of
the 'serious' category just like that.

We've also added a picture of Jim Sheard to the FAQ contemplating his
new position in relation to AAPC.

Oh, and who will "we" decide to put there next? Gee, I wonder. Could
it be -- no -- could it just be that it will be "we" themselves?

The Viking Troll on the far right looks like Fredrich Bendersthustra (except
his weapon is far too large)--the one stage left of you with the axe to
grind might be Peter, but I can't tell for sure. Who is the Red Bearded

The first one is actually the sixth guy in the Flag-Raising on Iwo
Jima pic. The other fella is a shop teacher, Jesus being a
carpenter and all. (Unless the original was commissioned by Walter
Disney.)

You clip all but three hairs from a #1 or #2 (you need the length to
hold the paint) red sable brush, thin the paints down about 1:2 and
1:1 thinner:paint. Larger areas are done with #00-#1 as-purchased
red sable, more brights than rounds. These are $5-10 Grumbacher,
Windsor, etc., pro artist's brushes; commercial art-supply
house/catalog; no hobby house sells 'em, and "hobby" brushes are
pure crap for this sort of thing. You start with an ordinary 2-3"
cheap magnifying glass on a coathanger-wire stand, and a 40-watt
gooseneck sort of right down on the work.
You listen to your kids yak it up, because they always have better
ideas than you do; then you improve 'em.
Mostly, you cut off or shave down the bulky-as-cast weapons, and
replace 'em with tincan bits, toothpicks, thread, yatta.
Cheated. Had the brushes as a commercial artiss, maybe 30 bitty
bottles of paint from years of 1:72 airplanes, many a few different
viscosities rather than all different colors.

Why not?

While I have no particular interest in how you rate me as a "poet", it
worries me that listing my name on your "faq" in the manner you have
done implies some sort of tacit support to your new regime. I do not
endorse this new system. Nor do I have an adequate sense of humour to
appreciate your innovative approach.

Removal is only possible by unanimous votes of the serious fraction. And as I already plan to
vote against it the attempt is rather futile.

We're aware of your populist angle but as no such 'support' is warranted I fail
to see the relevance of these kind of irrational fears which thrive on the mediocre idea that
hierarchy would be some democratic instrument you can expell at will.

I have to admit that - at this point - all the fun has gone out of it. It
provided a lot of us with a little frisson of humor, and now it's time to
remember that such hierarchy is pointless and get back to hating everyone

The only true, demonstrable measure of a poet's worth is how venomously
s/he hates his/her peers.

Dale, may I take this opportunity to say that your verse is vile, your
punctuation is the spawn of beelzebub, and that you are a literary whore
and an unfit mother.

I only take umbrage at the "unfit mother" denomination: Little Dale Junior
is doing fine at Chino, and will be released in a year or two at most. What
the hell was that old woman doing owning two televisions anyway! At any
rate, she would have been dead soon without Jr's help. I didn't give Jr.
crack until he was 11 years old, and the sexual "abuse" was really just
hyper-affection.

Our military didn't catch on to his clever name change. He was
originally Major Fag, but he knew that his name would catch attention.
So he changed the G to a Q. So far the military doesn't seem to mind.
