"Google's 'Verse by Verse' AI can help you write in the style of famous poets"
https://sites.research.google/versebyverse/

We put in the first stanza of Michael Pendragon's new poem "Yet Pumpkins Linger" and used the site's suggestions for the lines:

Michael Pendragon’s “Yet Pumpkins Linger”
Composed in “Verse by Verse”
Inspired by Edgar Allan Poe

November's chill crept in upon a cloud
Born of a dark and love within the sky:
But waft her in her sepulchre there again
Kept her sad Present in a one by bed.
Sometimes as a spell in the dream she wore,
Leaving her very soul within a dream.

Okay, you've "B"een "interested" in it for "many years." That still doesn't warrant your commenting. Say something original and advance the conversation. If you saw the movie "A.I.," that is not sufficient. You should have a reason to write, not just because you have nothing else to do and want to see your name in print.

For instance, how did the program change what Michael wrote in his poem? Did you see the Poe influences in the suggestions? What words are particularly "Poe"ish? How has the theme changed?

I became interested in artificial intelligence a couple of decades ago, when I found the John Lennon AI:

http://triumphpc.com/johnlennon/

"John Lennon Artificial Intelligence Project (JLAIP™) is recreating the personality of the late Beatle, John Lennon, by programming an Artificial Intelligence (AI) engine with Lennon's own words and thoughts. Triumph PC's breakthroughs take the field of AI to an entirely new level, thus making Persona-Bots™ (robots inhabited with unique and authentic human personalities) possible and further blurring the precarious line between man and machine..."

It reminds me more of the William Burroughs "cut up" method.

Burroughs' chopped poetry is of the same "Fragmentist" school as your own. What differentiates the AI poetry (and your own) from Burroughs, is that Burroughs' individual fragments are composed in snatches of intelligible English.

Of course there are other suggestions that you can choose for alternative lines. We glanced at George Sulzbach's attempt, and the AI version is 1000 times better than anything he has ever written. He should lie down on the railroad tracks and ignore the whistle.

Wouldn't that be just about every post either of Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dockery make?

It appears that your only readers are Stink, Alex and Hieronymous. I can surmise this by coupling the increase in the number of Doc and Stinksock posts with the absolute lack of people "PING"-ing me with new sig.file quotes.

Has the view count been dropping on your posts?

I'm currently avoiding threads where you're the most recent poster as well. (Have you figured out the difference between "initial poster" and "most recent poster" yet?)
