I opened this group, was dismayed.
It's months since a posting was made!
And that one, a scam—
Just prose flogging spam.
My limerick bent was betrayed.

Some will find these old newsgroups passé,
Claiming resting in peace they should stay,
But when I was a lad
Most of these newsgroups had
Brand new posts nearly every day.
