You buy house paint and it is very liquidy......

But you buy artist paint and it is in a tube. You squeeze it out like
tooth paste.

My Question: What do the paint manufactures use as carrier to make the
paint thick?

Less extender,less liquid,finer ground better quality pigment milled
together longer not more but less.
