A close friend/artist died and we received some of his work.
Unfortunately, although he painted in mostly bright primary colors, he
never sold his work (thought of them all as his "children") and stored
them in his garage. Over the years, they have accumulated dirt and dust
such that the colors are clearly muted, and mildew has set in on
portions of the work.
One restorer quoted $900 per work. This sounded awfully high to us (we
live in LA metropolitan area).
Any thoughts? (Since I am not in the newsgroups often, kindly respond
directly to my email. Thank you!)
Thank you in advance,
Cheryl
