Help….We need your help!!!
We need paintings for a new art gallery opening on the Internet. The web
site is called WWW.ORIGINALARTWORKS.COM . We need paintings to fill our
gallery and auction block. We are spending money to advertise our site to
the people that will buy your art. We are contacting Interior Decorators,
private collectors, and people looking to give art as gifts. Our goal is to
give you as much exposure as possible to help you sell your art. We will be
dealing with original paintings submitted by the artist, which are priced
under $2000.00. Original Art Works is a consignment gallery.
Submitting to the Gallery…
Ads on the Gallery cost $30.00 for each painting displayed and run for 2
months. (For a limited time this fee is waved.) There is a 15% commission
charge when painting is sold. When pricing your painting make sure you
include enough to cover commissions to us, shipping cost and insurance. You
can submit your works at any time.
NOTE... You have the option of submitting your painting to The Gallery or
going directly the Auction Block.
Submitting to the Auction Block...
Submitting a painting to the Auction Block will cost $20.00(For a limited
time this fee is waved) and 15% commission of the final sale price. The
Auction will last three weeks.
You may want to put your painting in the Auction Block after it has been in
the Gallery, however, if you feel that you may get the price you want for
your painting by auctioning it rather than placing it in the Gallery, then
go for it.
Guidelines for Pricing Your Painting...
First, set a minimum bid that you will accept for your painting. Be sure to
include extra expenses that you will incur such as commissions, shipping
and insurance. When this auction is timed out you are obligated to sell to
the highest bidder over your starting minimum bid.
Reserve Price Auction...
Second, you may use a reserve price auction. The reserve price is the
lowest price at which you are willing to sell your art. The reserve price
is not disclosed to bidders. It will be noted with your information that it
is a reserve auction. When this auction is timed out you are not obligated
to sell to the highest bidder unless the bid is over your reserve price.
How sale is handled…
An escrow account company that guarantees that you and your art are
protected from fraud will handle the money transaction for your sale.
Basically the Escrow Company will collect monies from the buyer and then
notify you to ship. After art is received and accepted then the Escrow
Company will send you the money..
