For Sale - 7" X 15" original oil on board painting by Maurice Verrier. Born in
1917 in St. Malo, Brittany-France, studied with Andre Lhote, and with Rouault
during the German occupation on the Eglise de Normandie. Graduated from the
National Academy.
Won many prizes and honorable mentions in exhibitions in London, Paris, Berlin
and Rome. A dozen of his paintings were auctioned in Europe over the past
decade.
Subject appears to be a street scene in France. Verrier painted as an
impressionist and cubist.
