I recently inherited a floral watercolor by Sir Jacob Epstein. It is
large (19" w x 24" h), and was one of the 100 paintings Epstein
exhibited at Mssrs. Arthur Tooth and Sons in New Bond St., London, in
1939. The piece was framed, like the other 100, to Epstein's
specifications.

I have never seen one of these pictures on the market before. I know
they sold out within a few days (per Epstein's autobiography) when
they were exhibited. I do know that a few UK museums have Epstein
floral watercolors in their collections. Does anybody know what such
a picture as this would fetch today?

Many thanks - Grant

I would greatly appreciate it if when anyone posts something on a piece
of art, if they could reference an URL so that we can see the piece if
possible.
Thank you in advance.

I am happy to send a scanned photograph of the watercolor to anyone
interested in seeing it.
