Just wondering if any other landscape painters frequent the newsgroup here.
I invite you to check out my site......bypass the other genre subjects on
portfolio there as you go into "Gallery" and check out my landscapes.
My process after years of tireless painstaking detail in wildlife subjects
for landscapes is to literally attack the canvas/panel. Many of my
landscapes these days....or at least 50%..are done on location, and that
means competing with changing lighting conditions. About 60-70% of the
painting is blocked in and refined with a palette knife, and then finished
with smaller brushes emphasizing light and negative space
shapes....creating the illusion of detail and image.
Let me know what you think!
take care.....and hope the holidays have been special for you!
