Mr. Boley has made some waves with his artwork, especially in the
local political circuit, but he feels it's time to
"spread his wings", so to speak. His artwork hasn't been limited to
just editorial cartoons, though. Other things that he has
done include: tattoo designing, T-shirt designing, advertising,
caricatures, and illustrating.
As far as publications go, Mr. Boley's contributions and
appearances are quite a few. As aforementioned, his work
currently appears in a local newspaper on a weekly basis. He has
authored and illustrated books on orthodontics; he had his
drawings appear a couple of times in the video game magazine, Nintendo
Power; his work graced the fanzine pages of Up
roar and New World Enthusiast (the latter of which he was art director
and columnist for); he is currently lending his artistic
talents to Totally Amiga (a now CD-ROM magazine) and Power On! (an
up-coming on-line magazine) and is also contribut
ing illustrations to know surveyor, Louis J. Matacia, B.S.T., L.S.
Where does Mr. Boley plan on going with his talent? Anywhere at
this point. He used to be totally focused on just
comic strips only, but has discovered over time that his abilities
aren't limited to just drawing comic strips. Along with his love
for art, Mr. Boley also has a love for music and, of all things, video
and computer games. If there was any way his art skills
could be used with music or video/computer games, he'd be a more
happier person, and if it meant for him to relocate in or
der to achieve that, he would.
What does Mr. Boley hope to get from having SB Designs at a
website? "More recognition and maybe some money
here and there," so he says. At the SB Designs website, Mr. Boley will
have some of his work displayed, as well as have his
work up for sale, where the products will range from T-shirts to
framed drawings to whatever else you can possibly imagine!
