Hi all (FTP)

Would anyone on this list have a good resource for information about
architectural artists. In particular, I'm trying to find information about
Fritz Beckert (1887-1962), a German artist who was commisioned to sketch a
number of architectural landmarks around Dresden in the early 1900s.

I have aquired some old lithographs, plus what may be some late originals
and have been trying to do some research about Beckerts life, especially
his later years.

I have done some fairly extensive searches across the 'net, but have so far
found little (English) information other than details of some of his art.

Many thanks,
Gryph

I have been researching Fritz Beckert for some time as well. I have his two black and white lithographs. No info on him except for his birth year and death year. His works are still for sale in a lot of galleries, mostly Europe. The only fact I found - his works were exhibited in Nazi's 1937-1944 Art Exhibitions. Maybe he does not have a nice biography. I found a wiki page on him that had little info and even that is now gone.
