There are four "free-standing" specialized art colleges in Canada. Emily Carr
Institute of Art & Design (ECIAD) in Vancouver, Alberta College of Art &
Design (ACAD) in Calgary, Ontario College of Art & Design (OCAD) in Toronto,
and Nova Scotia College of Art & Design (NSCAD) in Halifax. All the other
college level art and design programs in Canada are part of liberal arts
colleges or larger universities.
