Or Windows 10 as it's known.

Anyone else having problems with the latest bloated update?

After a lot of issues initially when I first installed it about a year ago,
it seemed to have stabilised and I haven't had any trouble for a while, but
the latest big lump of dog shit from Microshite has really screwed things
up. Firstly it helpfully uninstalled a couple or my favourite applications,
it has buggered the sound system so all I get out of my Focusrite interface
is pure distortion (I had this problem with the first build of 10 but then
the next update cured it), it has interfered with the way Stardock Fences
works, and most seriously of all Photoshop Elements 10 no longer works so I
can't process any photos.

I'm currently running reverting to the previous build so I just hope that
doesn't cause any more problems.

Yes, very annoying, MS seem hell bent on annoying users and making the use
of Windows difficult.

There's also a new Intel ointment fly around. I discovered recently if you
need a new computer, your new computer, and many will be, is fitted with a
"skaby Lake" (Kaby Lake) based processor so you can't have Win 7 as your
OS.

Sorry Sir, the only OS available for "Skaby Lake" is Win 10.

Dave

Nb: Funny old business, "wunce" upon a time I used to really enjoy messin'
with computer stuff, now it's generally just a PITA that we have to
endure...

Sorry, guess my annoyance got to me... Obviously more to it...

You can install 7 and 8 on a Skaby Lake yourself, but official OS installs
on new OEMs have to be 10... Orders from MS.

Serious talk is, that anyone with 7 or 8 installed on a Skaby Lake will
soon be unable to get any MS updates.

Who knows... Just adds to my being pissed off with computers generally.
