Well folks, I've done some searching variously, chatted on the appropriate
forum but cannot fathom the problem... And it applies to both Win PCs I
have, both running Win 7 Pro SP-1. (Different processors though).
This applies to both computers, so for example there is Nero on one
machine and Ashampoo Burning on the other, but all listed below together...
All filers, Windows Explorer and a 3rd party sophisticated filer app, all
apps (Graphics apps, Office apps etc, AnyVideo Converter, Ashampoo Burning
Studio Pro, Nero, Three different Media players, etc, etc that have
anything to do with a CD/DVD drive (E:\) can see, read/write where
appropriate etc.
However, I have one app "DVDStyler" that regardless will not under any
circumstances see the DVD drive.
It's not even shown (Greyed or otherwise) in the apps Devices list.
I've been on the DVDStyler forum, and even the app writer doesn't seem to
know why this is happening.
So folks, any useful thoughts on the matter?
Thanks
Dave
PS: Those of you who are long time PC users will no doubt remember in the
past when updating something like Nero or similar would lead to the CD/DV
drive not being seen at all, and after going through a Registry routine it
would all be fixed.
This is not like those past times, as noted above everything else can see
and use the Drive.
