Looking for a good climber for next year. The O'l man looks really nice
and is very quiet. Any opinions on it and others?

I have the Grand Ol'man. It is the only climber I have used for the past 3
years. It is heavier than most stands but I think worth it. It is very
quiet and comfortable. It is also a very secure feeling having rail around
you while up in a tree. The only problem you would have is if you are wide
shouldered and hunt out of smaller trees (@10" and under). The tubing
enclosed cable can cut into your sides when you try to sit back against the
tree. I cut some treads off tractor trailer tires and wire tied them to the
stand. When up in a smaller tree I swing them around and had them pinch
between the stand and the tree. This makes it as though I am using a tree
3" wider.

Deer Hunter Treestands are very good. They are all aluminum so they are
very light. They come in two sizes, one for the average hunter and one for
the large hunter. They can face the tree or away from it. They also make a
tree lounge type stand.
Their prices are better than most on the market. Contact Mike for more info
