I know, highly improbable - but you never know until you ask. All
suggestions would be appreciated.

Not impossible or even difficult. The TD-2 is virtually the same bow
as the Sky Medalist. Sky makes glass/wood and carbon/wood limbs for
it. Ask your local dealer about them. I know that Lancaster also sells
the limbs, and you can also order directly from Sky. This is a little
bit more expensive than going through Lancaster but might be
comparable to some local shops.

Cut her some slack. My favorite riser is a 23 yr old TD-2. You can
buy limbs for it from Sky Archery, which is owned by Ann and Earl
Hoyt.

The Sky Medalist IS a TD/2 and is still in production. Superb FITA
style recurve and only $310 at LAS - xtra limbs are $235.

Still waiting for her to reply as to what length riser she has, if I
remember correctly, there were three different risers ..(?)
I know we have at least one set that is brand new and two others, they
may also be brand new but I need to check that out.
Happy New Year everyone!!!

The Hoyts have been into archery as long as I can remember..I to, will
miss them dearly. I bought and sold their products for many years.. True
professionals in the business are very hard to find now..Hoyt Martin and
Pete(PSE)ShepleyIMO are about it..
Later,
Thanks for your response (and everyone else as well). Ann, her email is
a work address and they're closed through New Years, so she'll get back
to you in a week.
On that note, tho', there is that question (which, admittedly, I didn't
have an answer for). I knew they made the TD-2's in different lengths,
but what difference are there in the limbs for the TD-2 that the length
of the riser makes a difference? It's not a JOAD medalist, and she
currently has a set of 68"; she's been out of shooting for about six
years and doesn't want to go back to the 42lbs limbs she's been shooting
(hence, the search for a pair of 32-34lbs).
Thanks again,
E
