I have posted 2 inquires on bows under $300.00 but only 1 response
(thanx Laurette) so I went and made a few calls myself and the results
were that for the money the Buckmaster was at the top. One of the calls
was to Bowhunters Discount Warehouse and they told me that their #1
seller of 97 was the Buckmaster (over 1000 sold) and no reported trouble
with them.

My question is does anyone have a Buckmaster and if so could let me
know how you like it!

THANX

Hey ... i have answered your aid !!! also ...did nt you get it ??
My name is Johan and i suggested a buckmaster aswell !

I have actually just bought a buckmaster and i will have it on monday there
are alot of poeple using them ( best bow you can get for a good price ) so i
can not tell anything about it...but
What i have read and heard is this .....
( i know more about its dis. advantages )
Could have some string clearance problem soulution : use a cock feather out
rest ( 9 out of 10 uses cock out with the buckmaster )
It could be pretty slow ( I dont agree ) use an overdraw and light arrows if
this seems to be a problem its suppose to be AMO 235 and IBo 290 but.....
Advantages is the one cam ! ( once its tuned you dont have to retune it ! )
,split limbs are good for some reasons and bad for some !
Cheap !!! , and realy good for its price ...(good riser )
Dont buy it at bowhuntersw.discount they are very cheap on almost anything
except for the buckmaster its 329 $ there, i know were you can get it at
280-290 $ !!!

Johan ( im from sweden so please excu. my horrible english)

I've had mine for about a year now and I love it. It's a lightweight,
and forgiving bow. My dealer has told me that the Buckmaster has outsold
all other bows 2 to 1 this year. Nice and Quiet too.

I've had some clearence problems with a 4 inch vane on aluminum
shafts(I'm using a 3D Rover) and I'm shooting cock feather down. Arrows
with UNI nocks will help "tweak" out the clearence. I've recently
swiched to smaller diameter carbons (Gold Tip Graphite XT's) which has
helped solve the clearence problem (still using 4 inch veins). I've
heard someone on the group mention that they were talking to Jennings,
and they said that the Buckmaster was designed for 3 inch veins.

No, these estimates are about right. I was getting the AMO speed with
aluminums, so I should be getting close to the IBO speed with the
carbons. Have to Chrony it next time I'm at the club.

The only other disadvantage is that the bow is known to really vibrate.
I can't stress the importance of a good Stabilizer for it. I had a
smaller Vibracheck that didn't do the job (sight and stabilizer kept
vibrating loose). I got one of the stabilizers from Jennings for the
Buckmaster and haven't had any problems since. Unfortunately, I've heard
that the company that was making the stabilizer for Jennings isn't
around anymore.

I have had the bow for a year and I love it. Although it is only my
second bow. I haven't had any problems with it. It is much faster and
smoother than my previous bow.

I work at K & L Archery Supplies in Smyrna, Delaware and we have sold
COUNTLESS Buckmaster bows. I think it is a very good quality bow for its
price range (it beats the Hoyt Raptor). It's really underpriced for the
market. Even though it is now $350 it is still worth the money. We've
had the normal amount of problems with them that you usually get with
any other bow (a worn this, a twisted limb here and there) but it's good
for the bowhunter and occasional 3D shooter. HOWEVER, if you insist on
shooting your bow 6 days a week 90 shots a day you either should be
really close to a warranty service center (such as K & L ARCHERY
*ADVERTISMENT!*) so you can replace worn out rockers and stuff (which is
a very very very easy process just fill out a warranty form and get it
fixed for FREE as long as you own it) or maybe you should look into a
higher priced bow such as a Starmaster (which is top of the line and a
very very excellent bow not to mention popular). So, it's all up to you.
If you buy a Buckmaster you are making a very excellent choice for the
price but if you don't like having limb rockers and stuff fixed every
few years or so (depending on how much you shoot, you may never need
them changed) maybe you should look towards a higher end Jennings bow
(because any bow in that price range will most likely have the same
problems). Thats my opinion, not neccessarily my employers. Hope I
helped you out.

See if your dealer can also get the Fred Bear Code, it should also be around
$350., and it is a smoohter shooting and faster bow.

AMO said it was the hottest seller by far in 97. It has all the new
and cool gadgetry at a price no other can come close too.
However, beginners should leave it alone, a bit too radical for the
novice. Customer satisfaction: Of the 20 people I know who
bought them, about 3 out of 4 loved it. Even the ones who could
not shoot it well liked it. Go figure.
I don't like the draw force curve, it does not feel right, but that's just me.
