I'm thinking about buying or building a recurve bow and I need some advice (Thank God for this newsgroup).

I read some posts on here about how far back the draw should
go. I had never even considered that.
I'm about 5'11" tall, heavyset, and have fairly short arms (or
at least it's always seemed that way to me).
What kind of draw should I be looking for? I'm not worried
about the pull weight. I had no problem with a 45 pound pull when I
was 13 so I'm looking for something around 64 now.
How far back does the ideal draw go? I mean when fully drawn,
my hand should be as far back as what? My ears? My nose? A bit out
front of those?
Any and all advice is appreciated.

Very nice reference. Search pdf on "draw weight" will give
recommendation. If into target archery it appears you do not want the
high draw weight that us US hunters would use. The only reason for a
high draw weight is that it is better if distances are unknown as you
shoot a flatter arrow.
