This is HIS hoopty but he's ashamed and wants to give it to the kid next door in his slummy HB neighborhood. Hint to pisspoor nutcase Newgene McMensa (aka 100 other names including Snuffy Hubcap McKinney and Idjit Bob Wilston)-- you don't use tapwater in a radiator & you flush every so often because acids build up in the coolant and eat away at the engine's metals, especially the aluminum alloys. I guarantee you the heads on that hoopty are aluminum:

I had a leak in a radiator hose over night and ended up with a puddle in the driveway. [Your spouse Mel leaves puddles in the driveway too.] After the liquid evaporated it left a heavy white stain. It also left white stains everywhere it had dripped on the hoses, etc. The coolant itself is the normal greenish color and nothing else has been added.[These are metal salts dissolved in the ethylene glycol, stupid.]

I've never seen this before and the local radiator shop didn't know either. Any ideas what the white material might be? [Maybe they never saw any fatass mope go 20 years without flushing his radiator.]

The coolant temp is fine unless I sit idling for 2-3 minutes in gear - then is would climb to full scale if I don't rev the engine. [You should quit trying to make your anti-freeze last for 20 years, you chintzy stupid brute.]

Have changed thermostat, temp sensors and fan clutch within the last few months. [Bwaaaaaahahahahahaaaa! Too funny!]

Thanks in advance.

[Try your ol' toilet plunger trick. There you go: UYA. That should give you some immediate comfort.]

Yep, I remember that.... cheapest & quickest thang wuz to flush out the system and put in a new radiator ($125). Old one was half full of built up calcium from the hard (sorry ladies) water. The white residew also turned out to be calcium salts - not aluminum (yew dope).
