High Load Server Configuration

We are setting up an ad server that will deliver ads to a high profile web
site.

Im looking around for some good how-to's or good configurations for servers
with
high load's on them for apache .. anyone recommend any urls or articles
would be happy
to read them.. IM no where near an apache master but I want to make sure we
can deliver
the amount of banners on the system with out much trouble.
