A friend of mine who uses AOL has been having constant problems with AOL
on her computer. I don't know many of the details about version, etc. I
think it's version 3.0 for Win 3.x. The problem arises when she goes to
download files - whether it be from her email or the browser supplied.
The progress of the download is shown, and when it's done, says download
complete, yet upon searching for the files on the computer they just
aren't there! Now she's not very computer literate, but I've gone thru
it with her step by step and everything she's doing seems to be correct.

Any insight into this problem?? apart from ditching AOL?

You are coming here to get help for AOHELL. If you read the newsgroup it
says ALT.AOL-SUCKS.

Anyways num nuts, like Justin said, go to the folder where she
downloaded it.

One more thing, someone is still using 3.1?????????????????????

Maybe it is set to "Autmoatically Unzip" the file after it has been
downloaded. Thus, eleminating the orifinal zip file????
If that doesnt work then ditch it. :)
