Uh oh... aol.com, eh?
The living document is gonna get you for making posts about AOL's
pricing, man... RUN!
It's not U.S. law on AOL... it's the Community Action Team system...
Sorry... I'd suspect someone'll have you TOS'ed and killed by the time
you'll get to read this post...

Only because a member of the "Community Action Team" (cough) hasn't used
his or her "discretion" to rule the post "inappropriate" and TOS him.
And now that CAT members have to pay for being "volunteers," they're
probably real ornery about now and ready to jump all over jpcsearch.

There's nothing inappropriate about his post. I don't know how it stands
on legal standards, but there's nothing TOSsable.

TOTALLY INCORRECT. CAT staff are paid employees. Volunteers are NEVER
given the power to action an account. Volunteers can report violations,
but have no enforcement power. That's why we're volunteers.

Whew... Good thing, Adam... I, for one, am relieved.
Long live free speech... errr... at least, kinda semi-free speech on
AOL!

That's why you're volunteers -- to report violations? Ah, what noble
purpose! My hat would be off to you if I had a hat.

Relax, Mimi.
Read my sentence the way it was constructed, and not the way you wanted
to construe it.
"Wolunteers ... have no enforcement power, that's why they're volunteers."
If you REALLY read my sentence as "Volunteers can report violations ...
that's why they're volunteers," then you really need to get some help.

Adam, sweetheart, I read your sentence as you wrote it. Maybe you
need to take some classes in constructing simple English prose. I'm
sure Tricia would help you.

He's right. Volunteers are AOL's high-class term for what we called
'tattle-tales' in Kindergarten.

Ever notice that most AOL volunteers have an ethic set
that smells something like wine gone to vinegar? Like...
"I TOSsed more folks out of the chat pits than you did
today, so I'm a bigger Kissy-Assy... right Mee?"
The Wolunteers (sp?) all met in downtown Baltimore a few
months ago, and I was tempted to visit them, just to
see what these folks looked like in Reality.
After the Baltimore Sun did a feature on the group complete
with photo, I think I was glad I didn't.
What a zoo.

Re-read your statement, Adam.
The way you write it says that you are volunteers because you
can report TOS violations without having accountability. Which
is worse than what you think Mimi interpreted.

It's bad enough that I already try to re-read all my posts before sending
them, just to see if there's anything that could be perverted into
something else. Apparently, I'm not doing a very good job.
Feel free to continue to twist my words around, folks, I don't care. I've
got better things to do than be paranoid about what new conspiracy theory
is going to be created by my words from day to day.
