A 393 part binary post to a non-binary group.

That should make news.admin.net-abuse :)

Are you the real Fran Friary, or an impersonator :)

I doubt it. The folks there are not very concerned about what happens in
alt.* groups. Even Dick Depew, the one who runs !bincancel, doesn't operate
within alt.*.

Earthlink seems to be the home of one or more very disturbed individuals,
who have repeatedly targetted a.a-s and the regular posters.

FWIW, I forwarded some of that spew last night and more this morning
to ab...@earthlink.net and cerb...@earthlink.net -- and to
ab...@aol.com for good measure. I doubt that AOL wants its beta
software (if that is what this garbage actually is) posted on the
Internet.

He explained this to me: his server doesn't carry the alt.* newsgroups.
Someone sent me a CancelBot to deal with it, but, ya know, I don't deal
with, like, code and stuff.

I received the cancelbot, too, from Dr. Dimitri Vulis. Art and
others, your thoughts?

Impersonator or not, its somebody with waaaaay too much time on their
hands. For everyone who ever wondered what AOLers do when their not
wasting money on AOL (unless they work for AOL)......

What's sad is that it probably didn't take the poster much more time to do it
than it took you to write your post. If they have the setup.exe for AOL 3.0,
Agent (which this person used) will post all 393 posts automatically with just a
quick tweaking of the settings. You merely have to send it as an "Attachment".
It probably took all of two minutes to get to the point where he/she hits the
"Send" button. Then he/she can go grab a snack from the refrigerator, go to the
bathroom, etc., come back, and enjoy the fact that a.a-s is now polluted with
393 pieces of shit (again). I'd hardly call that having too much time on your
hands.
