e-bay is huge waste of time.

First and foremost, sellers of anything of value are simply out there on fishing expeditions to see if they can get a price in excess of what the market has otherwise offered. As a hedge, they put in their "reserve" value that is invariably above market - thus only a mentally impaired bidder will fall into their trap. There are many mentally impaired people, but most of them don't have money - so, waste of time.

Shill activity is rampant - enough said

ebay makes it very difficult to be in contact with them. Recently, when they asked for my credit card information in order to continue bidding on an item (they referred to it as a "security issue" to protect my account) despite the fact that I had a linked PayPal account, I cried "foul." After going through an array of hoops and delays on hold, I was finally connected to some dothead who simply and continuously repeated my concern - i.e., repeatedly said: "Let me understand, your issue is......" and repeated it ten times. Yes, dottie, that is my issue and it hasn't changed from the first time your repeated it.

Long story short, dottie then connected me to "Customer Support" and another hold marathon. When the Customer Unsupport person got on the line, I was finished - I just told him I wanted my account closed, erased, terminated, imploded, disappeared IMMEDIATELY and I never wanted to hear from e-bay again. I told him they were smoking dope if they thought I was going to turn my credit card info into them. It's called PayPal, dope!!! Put the ace down and look into it!

Anyway, I logged on to check and my account is still active even though they sent me an e-mail saying it was closed.

This company is as dangerous to customers as it has been to shareholders lately. Guess we know why they cant seem to turn a profit.
