Go for it. Post the auction number. We may all want copies if you take
good photos.

I actually agree..If the photo is a 11 X 14 and is done nicely, I
might go $15 or so.

Of course, you may get the same popularity as H. J. Theuss...He sold
4 prints for $125 back in 1985 or so..Now? Oh I have a set which I
bought at auction in 1990 for 10 cents (It was in a pile of misc)

Then again, a $15 Photo today could be worth $1500 or more in a few
years. Art and Photography are indeed very strange businesses.

I agree 100%. The thing about Art (and Photography, which art is the result
of) is it can mean absolutley nothing to someone, yet be the most relatable
piece they have ever seen to someone else.

A lot of art therefore has values that are determined by the buyer.

My wife dabbles in photography, not managed to sell a print yet, but there
has been at least some noteworthy comments.

L S Lowry paintings (matchstick men) are quite collectable pieces, I don't
care for them very much myself, but he captured an essence of life in
Northern England (Manchester area). A tidbit of off topic fact is he died
here in the town where I live.

No kidding. A visit to one's local Art Gallery would prove that quite
effectively. :-)

I would perhaps venture to say "all" art has values that are
determined "only" by the buyer.

I have also and still do. I have however had some success in a couple
of local galleries, but certainly not enough to live off for even the
most mediocre of lifestyles.

And then there is of course Van Gogh who was told by Art Teachers that
he virtually had no talent. What would Art Teachers know anyway?
Nonetheless, he actually sold only two paintings in his lifetime, and
yet now holds 3 or 4 spots on the top 10 list of the most expensive
paintings ever sold on the planet, including the # 2 spot.

However, in stark contrast, there was Picasso...perhaps arguably the
most successful "artist" in history, and certainly during his
lifetime. Some feel he is still # 1 today in terms of the overall
value of his complete collection. He also holds 3 or 4 positions in
the above top 10 list, but now holds the # 1 spot at $104 Million for
a single painting. That sale was "not" on eBay.

So why is that stupid? Many people sell photos on eBay and do so quite
successfully. Oh yes, I forgot...you have no such skills of any kind
except those which allow you to insult and threaten people. What a sad
miserable life you must lead.

Nah, I'd rather have a photo of it snowing in Oregon or Colorado ...or
where ever it is you said your were from. And of course, if you are
wearing you full Indian dress, that would contrast very nicely against
the snow.

he's definitely a few fries short of a macdonald's happy meal!

speaking of moons-----
many moons ago (couldn't help the pun)
a few decades ago....like 1980....
was in las vegas....staying at a casino....
was there on business....
went down and played some black jack.....

and this person comes in.......
in a black shag rug gorilla suit...
with a plastic pink ass tied on with a string.....
made out of that plastic like cheap halloween masks.....
it was the first singing telegram had ever seen......

and the monkeysuit person sang this loud song......
to a pit boss there.....and man could this person be loud...
and all i can remember is the song was KISS MY ASS....
and the gorilla suit guy
would spin around and wiggle his pink plastic ass at the pit boss
everytime he hit the punch line......
and bend over like he mooning him....
it was hysterical.....
even the dealers couldn't help laughing.....
and the pit boss.....
he was so stunned......he turned red to purple......
and the whole song got sung
and he handed the pit boss this huge balloon
that said KISS MY ASS....
before security started for the gorilla suit guy
who hopped around and went out the door......
and everyone in the place was laughing....
seems like it was the tropicana....it had old 50's style decor....

the pit boss popped the balloon and drew roars of laughters...
it was great!

last year...people in Buffalo, NY were selling bottles of snow when no one
else was getting snow. These people were chargeing around 15 dollars a
bottle and people were actually buying it, thinging that it would be a cool
thing to have. Being that there was no snow anywhere else the bottles of
snow were melting and negitive feedback was unlisted upon the sellers. The
loophole was that they had in thier auction that "We are not responsible for
broken bottles and/or melted bottles containing only buffalo,NY water"
