When you get to the page, right-click on the clip and select stop. (Not
sure how a Mac user would do it.) Then right again and select Edit
Preferences. Go to the Connection tab, and under Bandwith select a 14.4K
Modem, even if you don't have one (especially if you don't really have
one, or this trick won't work ;) Then go ahead and right-click on the
clip again and select play, and it will start over again but this time
it will take a few minutes to download half the clip directly to your
computer before it even starts playing it. Make sure you have "Buffer
entire clip up to available memory" selected just below where you select
your baud rate to have this work.

Generally speaking, right-clicky stuff on Windows is accomplished either by
holding the mouse button down for a moment, or holding Ctrl or Option as you
click, depending on circumstances; the Ctrl-click is rapidly becoming the standard.

I haven't been there and messed with it, so couldn't say for sure, but have
you tried digging it out of your browser cache?

Yicka! Why involve my whole other hand when I can do it all with just my
finger on a mouse button for a second?

Aaah! Very good idea! But I tried it and all it saves in the cache is
the anime.rpm file that points to the location of the ACTUAL file. Now
what I need to find out is the Real player says it's buffering the clip
to disk while it's playing...what I need to find out is, where is it
buffering it to?
--Pook! ^_^ (Who may have to resort to a screen-capture .avi utility and
convert it to Real Video format...:(
Or you can order RealPlayer Plus for $29.99. It lets you save, but only
if the person who made the video made it 'recordable'. I don't think
you'll find any back way around it, RealVideo was designed to not be stolen
like that, I guess.
Hydrus
Has anyone tried just saving the whole stream directly to disk, or
something? I mean, like, with GetRight or a program like that?
Or does it use a different port, and have a specific protocol, this
Realstuff?
Ah well..
James
..wondering what that protocol'd be like..
