Mass Production of Zodiac Mobile Suits

I wonder why they only made mass productions of only some of the Zodiac.
Did any of the characteristics of the mobile suits have anything to do w/
the Zodiac signs?

Example

Virgo
Leo
Cancer
Aries
Taurus

I was hoping to see a Capricorn...or a Sagittarius.

actually, a Capricorn suit was produced..but it was named Tragos.

One of the suits had a name that was a substitute for Capricorn, basically the
same thing in another language...anyone remember all the suit type names by
chance? I could spot it if I saw it again...

In G-Unit there was a Scorpio as well. A Serpent in Endless Waltz. Pisces was
available in the regular series as a counterpart (more like a color change) to
Cancer. Gemeni was used for the Gundam Gemenis as was Hydra. I'm probably
missing a lot too here other than the ones you mentioned but the Wing series
isn't one of the ones I follow religiously as others do hehe.

What about Aquarius?? They had a Pisces and a Cancer, two submersible
mobile suits with corresponding Zodiac signs, but where's the Aquarius??

There is one, Original MS for the game SD G-Generation F. Built by Trieze,
based on the Eypon, weapons are 2 Heat Rods and an anti-mobile doll device. If
you believe the game, Aquarius and Epyon are supposed to work at a team against
Mobile Dolls.

The reason for the Zodiac names is because OZ stands for "Organization
of Zodiac".

I've designed my own 1/144 Gemini and Sagittarius mobile suit, creating them as
fictional suits that don't actually exist. The Gemini is an aerial suit like
Aries, and the Sagittarius is a space mobile suit.

Actually, the Serpent is named for "The Serpent Bearer", a constellation which
is in the path of the zodiac but ignored by astrologers.

Yup, they aren't Zodiac signs however Hydra and Serpent are part of an entire
mythology of Constellations which we know of today from Greek origins.

Though true it isn't counted as a Zodiac of some kind, remember all 12 Zodiac
symbols also appear as Constellations in that mythology that they are part
of...not independant of.

Thus OZ was not limited to just creating suits named after the twelve Zodiac
which is where Serpent pops in.
