They did a lot of commercials in the mid-80s. It's probably from
one of those.

I recently purchased a piece of production animation art (photo
attached hereto) consisting of three cels and a matched pencil sketch
background (not in photo). Two of the cels make up the Wyle Coyote
(the head and part of the torso on one of the cels, and the arms, legs
& part of the torso on the other), and the other of the Road Runner in
total. The pencil sketch background shows them on the typical desert
road with cactus and rock plateaus.

As you can see piece is marked copyright 1986 Warner Bros. Inc.,
however I know of no cartoons or features that were released by Warner
Bros. in that year, or even close to that year.

Do you have any idea what cartoon or feature this might belong to?

Thanks,
Brett

Please do not post binaries in this or any other newsgroup that does
not have the word "binaries" in its name (not without asking the
regulars first, anyhow).

However, I won't hold back an answer. This is from a Hershey's
commercial. The coyote was holding a Hershey bar in the scene depicted
(the RR stole/ate it)...I have it on tape. 1986 sounds about right for
production...although I taped the ad a couple years later, if I
remember correctly.

Nice cel...I always thought the character designs were well
done/reasonably faithful.
