The long awaited John Kricfalusi Ranger Smith Special
will be airing on Cartoon Network this Friday, 9/24
at 10pm. It features the first "bear knuckles" no-
holds-barred event ever held in Jellystone Park. Tell
your friends!

See ya Friday!
Steve

Can anyone tell me if or when the program will be run in Canada, a small
country up near the pole?

I liked Ranger Smith in that cartoon. Some people compared him to George
Liquor, but I don't think George would get as sentimental as the Ranger did
when Yogi tried to talk him out of shooting BooBoo. Ranger Smith genuinely
believes that he's doing good with his rules and obedience. ( Spumco characters
usually have something that they feel passionately about. ) Even when he's the
heavy he can still care deeply for his friend BooBoo.
I also really liked Cindy's role here. She turned feral 'cause it looked
like it would be fun, and she could just switch on the feral mode like a light.

First of all, you did an awesome job as the voice of Yogi, Steve. In all
the times we've actually spoken, I never figured you for such a good actor.
Second, John K. was excellent as Boo Boo. And the episode? Bliss. I
thought the RANGER SMITH short was good, but I thought BOO BOO RUNS WILD was
a classic. His feral mode was deranged and hysterical, and his honey
rampage with Cindy may qualify as the best reason I can think of for me to
have bought a TV set. Crazy. When Yogi is standing there, making that
Harrison Ford finger gesture back and forth, and finally snaps and calls
Cindy the homewrecker, I think I may have actually suffered a minor stroke
of some sort.

God bless Spumco. There's a reason the Danes call it quality.

"Moriarty" out.

I watched most of it last night.
And well, I thought it wasn't very good. The music was good and so
were the voices. It was a good concept, but I just didn't think it
was funny the way it was done.
It seemed like it was, "How weird and bizarre can we make a Yogi bear
cartoon? Humor? Naw...we don't need that. Just make it bizarre."
At least I know what watching a Yogi Bear cartoon while taking a hit
of LSD is like.

I think i kinda liked "A Day in The Life" a little better than "Boo Boo Runs
Wild", but they were both pretty good.

Thanks for the updates. I usually use cartoonnetwork.com's own
schedulebot, but it's nice to have the exact dates & times zeroed in on
already. After first seeing MST3K being cancelled, and then Bil Keane
setting the hounds out after the "Dysfunctional Family Circus" website,
it's nice to see something like this come along.

BTW, nice voice work on Yogi (no kissing up intended).

I don't know about the web site, but I do know that when MAD did the
DFC parody, they got a nice letter from Bil. It's probably the
syndicate...
