My cat's behavior has changed in the last 3 days

I have a 14 year old cat in pretty good health. All of a sudden in the
last 2,3 days he meows at me incessantly. When I pet him he stops and
just wants to be close to me and cuddle. Does this mean that perhaps he
knows that something is about to happen...like does he (if it is
possible, I mean with cats) think he's about to pass? The other thing I
could think of was that he was really worried about me because I have
been incredibly depressed and he's never seen me this way. What are you
guys thoughts on this? Oh and I think the rim around his eyes is a bit
redder than usual. He's a white cat and so they've always been
red-rimmed. Thanks a lot.

Watch him for his other behaviors. Is he urinating a lot more than
usual (he could have a urinary tract infection)? I would recommend
that you take him to a vet for a checkup.

He hasn't meowed at me too much in the last couple of days since I
posted, but if he decides that he wants to see me, he will actually seek
me out and then meow at me until I pick him up, brush him, give him a
treat or something. The urinary tract infection makes sense, though. I
do need to go ahead and take him to the vet.
