I understand that there are two distinct population groups
of orcas --- a traveling group and a resident group. Also
I think that one of those is exclusively fish eating and
the other eats some sea mammals. Which is which, i.e.,
does the traveling group eat sea mammals or does the other
group? I suspect that the traveling group eats sea
mammals since some orcas chowed down on some minke
whales off Newfoundland last summer.

Some may be interested in my Orca Hot Foot, described in
http://www.nfld.com/~dalton/orca.html . I believe the
hot foot was a call from the orca for me to work for
positive environmental change and towards ending of
cetacean captivity and towards communication between
cetaceans and humans, and I have done a little of that
since 1995 but hope to do more.

Orcs are vicious motherfuckers. A pod of 'em worked for 16 hrs.,
presumably because of hunger, to separate mama sperm whale from her baby.
When they finally isolated the baby, they killed it, WITHOUT FEEDING!!!
Just vicious fucking murderers!
