Hmm... Dolphin's mating season is from the birthday and till the
end of life. :) They start to have sexual relations days after
the birth, trying to mate with mother first, learning what and
how to do. And a 1-year's old dolphin knows already everything
what should know dolphin about mating. Dolphins have sex-games
pretty often, not according to the seasons, but yes, usually,
spring - the time when they mate to get a new calf. Mating itself
goes very fast: something like 20..40 secs with full penetration
and 10..20 secs with half entering (don't remember exact data now,
but it's something about those numbers). Female dolphin usually
has one calf in 2 years, but sometimes (especially in dolphinariums)
they have calves every year. Female dolphins become sexual mature
from about 5 years old and live about 40 years. So, they can have
grand-grand...grand-sons and daughters. :)
