Cat more cuddly at night after an operation

One of my cats had a bad infected abscess in her foot (cost over 500
dollars to treat, but that's a story for another time).
Since she's gotten better after being operated on, she's been acting
back to normal, but she's also been sleeping in bed with me every night,
which she never wanted to do before.
Now, I'm not saying that I necessarily recommend having your cat get
hurt or sick if you want them to be more cuddly, but.......

I guess she really hated that sore foot. You're lucky, some cats take exception to vet visits and hate you forever.
