How political correctness destroyed American democracy

history as one of the most destructive, most vicious, and most
abominable aberrations in the history of Western thought; one that has
intellectually undermined the world's first democracy and paved the
way for tyranny in this country.
What is political correctness? Political correctness is a kind of
relativism, a belief that there is no absolute truth and all beliefs
are OK in the public discourse for as long as they don't offend
anyone. The key clause is "for as long as they don't offend anyone."
This of course goes entirely against freedom of speech and freedom of
conscience; for meaningful speech will in almost cases be offensive to
somebody, unless we all think with the same mind. And as it is said so
often, and as the psychologically traced concept of groupthink
demonstrates very clearly, If we are all thinking the same way then we
are not thinking.
Not thinking, or thinking the same way, ensures perpetuation of errors
and bad
cognitions, elimination of corrective thoughts, and failure to own up
to the burden of mindfulness. It is a way to perpetuate mental
comfort, at the expense of seeing the entire picture, the uncomforting
details within the picture, and those parts of objective evidence that
might disagree with the party line and render it invalid. Thus a code
of speech based on not offending anybody is a code of speech that is
inherently and manifestly dishonest; a code of speech lacking
integrity and lacking character - lacking truthfulness to facts, and
lacking intellectual rigor. It is a code of speech that encourages
false advertising, crookery, cheatery, sycophantism and simple deceit.
To make political correctness the staple of American education is to
arrive at a weakened, intellectually stunted, population; a population
that through an equivalent of censorship has been thwarted from true
intellectual development. It is a way to educate the population in
manners of thought that are weak and dishonest and that are robbed of
the seeds of honor, strength, virtue and originality in their modes of
thought. It is a way to create people who are not able to think for
themselves and are thus prey to mass movements. It is a way to negate
the very essence of what the founders of this country sought the
people who live in this country to be.
Political correctness is an attempt to arrive at social peace through
castrating the population of its mental potency. Which constitutes a
reduction of the American population to a state incompatible with the
founding principles of America; for it was one of America's founders
who said that people who would sacrifice liberty in the name of
security are not worthy of either. And indeed, with the politically
correct education producing people on the Left who have no character
or certainty or conviction, the Right has taken over the country
completely, for the first time in its history stealing an election and
conducting a policy of l'etat c'est moi - a policy of "you are a
patriot if you
agree with me, you're not a patriot if you disagree with me." When, in
other words, the will to fight for the founding principles of America
has been all but extinguished through a gag on emotional and cognitive
expression - through an ideology pursued by educational institutions
that, rather than training people to be responsible, thoughtful and
vocal citizens, trains them instead to think offending somebody as the
worst possible sin - patriotism is determined not by compliance with
America's founding principles but by compliance with the will of the
leader - and America turns from a republic into a monarchy. God Bless
King George.
In this way political correctness, a left-wing phenomenon, defeats
itself and is relegated to the dustbin of history by historical
forces, in a manner similar to what happened to another left-wing
abomination named Marxism a decade before. The events that led up to
this aberration, its intellectual leaders, and the lives that were
destroyed by it, are to be catalogued.

I'm suprised none of your ex-"goddesses" got this through your thick
skull, but it's *your* function on Earth to sit still, look pretty,
occasionally say charming things, but mostly to passively embody the
"spirit of Civilization." This "thinking" stuff is clearly too hard
for you, and public argumentation only makes your forehead wrinkle.
It's not "male/female" you see but "butch/femme": Layo and Sollilja

Let us hope that if by chance society evolves towards a direction of
physical and mental abuse greater than in times past that we can have a
political correctness trend to kill it. Otherwise if society has to much
kindness we need to say shut up whinners a bit to balance it out.

My function at this point is to undo the false ideologies of the last
20 years in order that there can be a cultural renaissance in AMerica.
Arguing isn't my style, my style is getting all information together
and putting it out in written format. I work as a writer, not as a
speaker.

Seems like a good idea. The software development at my last company
has been moved back to Russia. The mechanical design is being done
there also.

Really, you (of all people) should know better.
What you call "political correctness" was and is never
left-wing, right-wing nor of any other feather.
What you're in fact talking about is _orthodoxy_
Way before Marx was a twinkle in his mother's eye, you
had Cromwell's New Model Army stamping out the Ranters
in the name of "the Lord" (i.e. orthodoxy).
More recently, also more anciently, you had Sunni against
Shi'a. Yours, Ilya, is just the latest in a loooong line.
The real contention IMO is: orthodoxy versus "heresy"
(which usually equates to a free use of enquiry)
or else possibly what social psychologists call "inner-
directed" versus "outer-directed" personality-types.
About the earliest instance we know of was the Egyptian
cult of Aten versus the then orthodox cult of Ammun
around 1200(?) BCE.
And (would you believe it!) neither Akh-en-Aten nor his
consort Neferet-iiti was left-wing, right-wing, Marxist,
Fascist, nor feminist!! ....
