My first post here, though I've had anger issues for many years already.
There are, of course, many things that trigger an anger response, and it'll
differ from person to person. Top two in my life...
* tailgating drivers. From the perceived safety of their glass-and-metal
cocoons, imbeciles try to intimidate other road users. Rampant here in South
Africa.
* incessantly barking dogs. At a rough estimate, I'd say some 80% of dog
owners feel that a suburb serves chiefly as a 24/7 open-air kennel. Doesn't
matter if it's 3am.... the neighbours must put up with it or be branded
"intolerant".
At the root of both objectionable behaviour types is plain arrogance. When
all is said and done, I guess it is the arrogance of others that is most
likely to evoke anger.
Here in Amarillo, TX, USA, we handle these problems by:
1. Jam on the brakes and beat the derelict behind us.
2. Shoot the noisy dog.
Simple. Problem solved.
