I have implemented a compact output which I think can save
time when examining the results:
Imagine you asked for the anagrams of "paler fluid".
You could get, among the other results, one line like
full [repaid paired diaper]
this means that an anagram of "paler fluid" can be formed by taking
"full" plus any of the 3 words [repaid paired diaper],
like in "full diaper" or in "full repaid".
In this way, I can represent multiple anagrams on a single line.
I have also an option to present the results in random order.
I believe this is very useful because usually there are
zillions of anagrams and in this way one can explore more
possibilities simply by repeating the search, instead of
obtaining always the same results.
I have implemented the usual limitations on the lengths of the
words and (more important) on the number of the words.
Currently there are 3 English dictionaries of different sizes,
which include also terms like "I've" or "you can" which maybe are
useful
or maybe not (I need some user telling me!)
I'm not completely satisfied by the dictionaries, since I feel
they contain too many scarcely used words. If you suggest me
some free list of words, I can turn them into one or more alternative
dictionaries.
In general, I'm very open to suggestions about features to
be implemented, so if you have desiderata let me know!
My site also deals with arithmogriphs, cryptarithms
and alphametics and I have an on-line tool for the actual
creation of alphametics (in English, Spanish and Italian)
which I think is not available elsewhere.
My site is new and currently under-visited so most anagrams take just
a
negligible fraction of a second to produce results.
Ok. 'nuff said.
(It's the pride of the creator that makes me talk too much...)
If you are still reading, the easy-to-remember address is
If you like it, use it and spread the word.
If you do not like it, I can improve it, just give me some hints...

Nobody has responded to say that this anagram generator is horrible,
so I'll have a look, throw a few words at it, and see how it behaves.
Thanks for the pointer. The 'grouping' idea in particular has been
missing from most of the online generators and should be a welcome one.
I don't have many online anagram generators listed in the FAQ - many
have come and gone, with the more popular ones often suffering from
bandwidth issues - so I might well add this one, if you wouldn't mind
and if you expect it to stick around for a while.

Dear Lardy Girl, thank you very much for the attention.
I will be only too pleased to be cited in the FAQ.
I plan to stick around for a while, together with my generator...
Too old for rock&roll, too young to die.
The Italian version of my generator (now moved at http://www.iread.it)
had been on-line for several years now and has served millions of
anagrams. I created an English version just few weeks ago,
when I got enraged because a famous on-line generator told me that it
was too busy to produce
even a single anagram of a quite shortish 11-letters phrase!
By the way, even if people find my generator horrible, I would like to
know why,
so that I can try to improve it.
I'm a researcher in computer science, not an anagrammatist, so I need
some
directions..
