Hi, does anyone know how I can convert some jpeg images from a PC
onto an Amiga in iff format. Thanks.

PPaint on the Mig loads JPGs, then you can save them as IFFs with that.. I'm
pretty sure ImageFX does the same.. Strangely enough - photoshop can save as
IFF too, but it never seems to get HAM colour codes right..

How about getting the jpegs on to the Amiga then using GfxCon which I
believe is on Aminet, as I'm sure are other image utilities which will do
the job.

To convert jpeg,gif,png,bmp images from PC to Amiga IFF goto my
website at http://www.bigfoot.com/~2e1fxn then select SOFTWARE from
the menu, then AMIGA MISC FILES, the file you need is called
GFXCONV.LHA, there is also a viewer called VIEWTEC that will display
most types of Graphic files.

Doing this on the PC i can say that Paint Shop Pro does this superbly. On
the amiga i don't know i'm afraid.

Adobe Photoshop will convert between JPEG and IFF and I also think that
Paint shop pro will as well. On the amiga I think photogenics will convert
between the formats.

Adobe I have not uset that well but Paint shop pro does so 99.5%

I do use Adobe, don't get me wrong but I only use if for the special efects
that it can do and a few other thing.

If thos starts a flame war this post then I am sorry as I do not mean for it
to be as so.
