alsscan - cutting off their nose to spite their face?

This may seem like stating the obvious, but the first I ever heard about
www.alsscan.com was on a picture i downloaded from a newsgroup.

Now, if I hadn't downed that pic, then, I would never have visited their
site, and if I didn't visit their site, then there was no way at all that
I'd have considered buying one of their cds or paying for access to the
members section, which is what the guys at als are looking for - paying
customers...

A little re-think would seem to be in order for the guys at als, since, I'd
suggest, that the usenet newsgroups are their main source of new hits....
