If it's black with twinkling white spots, you're probably outside, and it's
night time. If it's black with no twinkling white spots, see if there is a
switch on the walls anywhere nearby and flip it. If the sky changes color
when you do that, you are probably indoors. If the sky remains black, but
there is more light nearby, you are probably outside at night. If there is
no change, look for more switches and try again. If there are no more
switches, you are probably outside.

If the sky is light blue, white, or a mixture of the above, and there is a
large bright object in the sky, see if there are any switches on the walls
nearby. If there are, flip them a few times. If the bright object remains
as you flip the switches, you are probably outside. If the bright object
does disappears as you flip the switch, you are probably indoors with
halogen lighting.

If as you look up, your face gets wet, look for a spigot, and if you find
it, turn it all the way both ways. If the water does not stop, you are
probably outside in the rain or snow. If the water does stop, you are
probably indoors, in the shower. If someone keeps asking you about secret
documents, you are probably undergoing chinese water torture, which is
probably indoors, most likely in a dungeon, evil lair, or shed. If as you
look up, you get knocked over by wind, you are probably outside in a
hurricane, although outside and inside are more negotiable at that point.
