Yes, there are numerous cave paintings dating from prehistoric times in
the South of France/Northern Spain area clearly depicting UFO craft.

Paul, I've been interested in the cave paintings for years and read
about them. I've never seen a cave painting clearly depicting UFO
craft. Could you please post a copy of one?

In addition there have been paintings in the Sahara Desert in North
Africa and as far away as China, try and get hold of some of the works
of Erich Von Daniken a German Archaeologist who put forward many
theories of alien visitations throughout history in the sixties and
early seventies. Unfortunately Von Daniken was duped into believing
stone carvings depicting open heart surgery and the like were genuine
pre-history carvings, he based his last book on these carvings which
were revealed to be fake. This sadly cast scorn upon his earlier works
in which he was brave enough to be one of the first to dare suggest that
we had been visited in the past by alien cultures. Even if you take
some of what Von Daniken said with a pinch of salt the cave paintings
and other artifacts (if genuine) did raise many questions. There is one
particular one from China (if I ever find my copy of the book I'll post
the pic) that does not leave any doubts about the subject matter. For
anyone interested here are the titles of some of his works .....

Chariots of the Gods
In Search of Ancient Gods
Return to the Stars
Gold of the Gods
