Does anyone know what the Windows PM equivalent font is for the MAC PM
font called APPLE CHANCERY? Need to know ASAP.

Thanks in advance!

FWIW, there's no such thing as a PM font. Some fonts happen to come with
PageMaker in various versions, though. I don't think there's one called
Apple Chancery among them. Are you certain it's not Zapf Chancery? If so,
its name's the same under Windows and it's also part of the font set
included in virtually every modern PS printer.

Shirley,
I am familiar with Apple Chancery; it's a great font, but unfortunately I
don't know of a PC based equivalent. Check with the folks at
alt.binaries.fonts. I'm sure you'll get an answer at that newsgroup, and
many of them are really expert font people.

Apple Chancery is Apple's corporate typeface. You will notice it on all
their literature and adverts? It's equivalent (i.e. exactly the same) is
something like Garamond Narrow or Garamond.

Ah, it definitely isn't Zapf Chancery, then? Oh well. Ignore my ignorant
remarks on that count, then. Thanks.

I thought they actually called that one 'Apple Garamond'? I remember
seeing it called that in Apple literature some years ago.

Apple Chancery is enough like Zapf that you should be able to substitute it
on PC. You can view it and d/l it in Mac format at a number of websites, but
I have not seen an equivalent offered for PC. Just conduct a search for
Apple Chancery. It bears little resemblance to Garamond, it's closer to Zapf
Chancery or a few other simple swash faces.

I can only apologise profusely. I was very tired when I sent that post
and got muddled up between Chancery and Garamond. I totally agree with Jay.

Should have stated that this is a PC version. Herb
