While we missed the original 5:00 PM flight, it was rescheduled by Delta for
7:00 PM. However, this 7:00 PM became 7:30 PM, then a Gate change from Gate
22 in Terminal 2 to Gate 10 in Terminal 3 - an almost impossible task
considering when this notice was announced in walking (quite fast) that
distance.
Then another delay to 8:00 PM, then another delay to 8:30 PM, then a whole
new plane change, then another delay, then catering was late. Then another
delay to 8:45 PM, plus sitting in line a known 30 - to 40 minutes just for
the take-off itself. In all, we were 3-hours late in reaching our final
destination.
To us, this is totally unacceptable, even for Delta and JFK, which has a bad
reputation anyway for delayed flights. In the future, we will now
reconsidering using Delta at all, even in spite of our Sky Miles.
