Paul or anyone else, I finnally am trying the ink on my next art
project. But I am running into a problem. I'm trying to back erase and
it just wont come off! I even put an eraser tip in my dremal tool and it
won't cut through. I put a stone tool in my dremal and it worked but too
little and too much time to do it that way. So at this point I'm
airbrushing what I can and I'm doing some paintbrush work for detail and
highlights. Am I doing something wrong? Next art submission is due Sept.
13th so like usual trying to meet the deadline.

Hey Mouse...

Paul helped me some time ago, and I use Daler Rowney ink because
for my illustrations as well. Though I'm into more auto graphics
stuff now.

I remember distincly having the same problem that you had initially.

Paul will probably tell you that you are laying it on too thick. take
your time and layer it. In other words, light layer, erase, another layer
and erase, etc.

Try that....hope this helps

I tested the stuff about ten years ago for the importers here in Oz,
and it's a quality product.
Acrylic paints have two main parts...binder and pigments. The more
binder, the stronger the paint is...ie. sticks to the surface well. If
you reduce it with water it will loose some of it's strength, making
it a lot easier to rub or scratch back.
Hope that helps ya,
Ken

Yep I think I was putting it on too thick. But it doesn't goe on too bad
with a brush either. I just need more patience right?

Mouse...yep!

If it's good enough for Paul..it's good enough for me.

hehe

No...really it's good quality acrylic / I want to say ink...because
of it's very thin consistency. I like it though.

Use light coats...then scratch or erase back...then more light coats..
etc....don't pile it on and try to erase it later. Try that.
BTW....I didn't make that up....Paul taught that to me.

Aloha
