HEADLINE: Glenn Beck criticizes Tucson memorial, compares it to Paul
Wellstone memorial debacle

OVERVIEW: Glenn Beck is taking on Obama and denouncing the crowd at
the Tucson memorial, comparing it to a debacle on par with the
politicized Paul Wellstone memorial from some years previous.

Yep. You conservatives have made a habit of murdering progressives
who get in your way. And making political points of it too. You
people are more than pathetic. You are truly evil.

So? He's right. Nothing with the speakers (not so much) more with
the crowd. They acted like it was a kegger or pep rally. It was
shameful. The president should have (but didn't due to his need to
be adored) told them that this was a MEMORIAL CEREMONY!

This is the much kinder, gentler discourse?

Talk the talk but you can't seem to walk the walk, big surprise.

Look into the facts surrounding the crash of Wellstone's plane, and
the subsequent coverup that followed. Face it, conservatives have
been in the business of murdering progressives since the beginning of
time.

Seems like it was all Democrats at this rally and the writer checked the
political affiliation of every person who made a sound and sold a T-shirt.
None of the Republicans cared enough to show up?

Progressives is another word for Marxists who kill their own for
political leverage. Stalin did it, and Hitler staged the Reichstag fire.

And the left has clean hands?

149+ million (est.) dead citizens killed or starved to death by their
own Communist governments since 1918-2006. These numbers do not
include war dead. The governments are sorted by body count (highest to
lowest). Not a complete list.

People's Republic of China
Body Count: 73,237,000
1949-Present (57+ years and counting)

R.J. Rummel originally estimated China's body count between between
the years of 1949-1987 to be 35,236,000 (Rummel 1994). This excluded
38,000,000 million that died of famine during the Great Leap Forward.
After the release of Mao: The Unknown Story, Rummel became convinced
that the Chinese government was directly responsible for the famine,
thus increasing his original estimate by 38,000,000 (Rummel 2005).
1,000 was added for Tienanmen Square in 1989 (Courtois 1999).

Union of Soviet Socialist Republics
Body Count: 58,627,000
1922-1991 (69 years)

The body count only covers the years 1923-1987 (Rummel 1996).

Russian Soviet Federated Socialist Republic
Body Count: 3,284,000
1918-1922 (4 years)

This body count does not include the 6,210,000 killed in the civil war
(Rummel 1996).

Democratic People's Republic of Korea
Body Count: 3,163,000
1948-Present (58+ years and counting)

1,663,000 is attributed between 1948-1987 excluding the Korean War
(Rummel 1994). 2,500,000 is the mid-estimate for those who starved to
death between 1995-1998 (U.S. Committee for Human Rights in North
Korea 2006).

Cambodia
Body Count: 2,627,000
1975-1987 (12 years)

The body count estimate is complete (Rummel 1994). The offical country
name was Democratic Kampuchea during Pol Pot's reign and then known
as

People's Republic of Kampuchea afterwards.
Democratic Republic of Afghanistan
Body Count: 1,750,000
1978-1992 (14 years)

The body count estimate is complete (Courtois 1999).

Vietnam
Body Count: 1,670,000
1975-Present (30+ years and counting)

The body count covers the years 1945-1987 for Vietnam/North Vietnam
and excludes 1,062,000 from the Vietnam War (Rummel 1994).

People's Democratic Republic of Ethiopia
Body Count: 1,343,610
1974-1991 (17 years)

The body count includes 10,000 political assasinations during
1977-1978, 1,000 children killed in 1977, 110 massacred in an Orthodox
church in 1975, 80,000 during the civil war between 1978-1980, 250,000
that died in 1982 through Transit Camps, and 2,500 killed in a bombing
raid (Courtois 1999). Another 1,000,000 is added for the famine during
1984-1985 (BBC News 2000).

Socialist Federal Republic of Yugoslavia
Body Count: 1,072,000
1945-1992 (47 years)

The body count only covers the years 1945-1992 excluding 100,000 from
the Tito Partisans between 1941-1944 (Rummel 1994).

Chinese Soviet Republic
Body Count: 700,000
1931-1934 (3 years)

The body count only includes the Jiangxi and Fujian provinces (Chang
2005). Although Mozambique has 700,000 to its name, the Chinese Soviet
Republic produced more bodies in a shorter time period and the
estimate is low.

People's Republic of Mozambique
Body Count: 700,000
1975-1990 (15 years)

100,000 civilians murdered between 1986 and mid-1988 (Young 1991) and

The body count only covers the years 1948-1987 (Rummel 1997).

People's Republic of Angola
Body Count: 125,000
1975-1992 (17 years)

The body count only covers the years 1975-1987 (Rummel 1997).

The body count only covers the years 1944-1987 (Rummel 1997).

Republic of Cuba
Body Count: 73,000
1961-Present (45+ years and counting)

The body count only covers the years 1959-1987 (Rummel 1997).

German Democratic Republic
Body Count: 70,000
1949-1990 (41 years)

The body count only covers the years 1948-1987 (Rummel 1997).

So your definition of "the left" are a bunch of violent dictatorships
who happen to call themselves variations of democratic peoples
republics or socialist peoples republics ?
The left and right referred to in these threads for the most part
pertain to the US politics, and while the left do have their share of
loonies it is the right that are far more paranoid and trigger
happy. As for the shooter in Tucson his politics is still being
dissected but from what I have read,in recent years he seemed to have
moved right, but it may turn out to be totally nonpolitical and just
some unglued nut looking of fame the easiest way he could, shoot a
public person.

No, not my definition of the left. My point is simply, the left does
not have bloodless hands.

Well there is an historical pattern where the left takes power then
eliminates freedoms (speech, religion, press, political parties) and
in the beginning or end violently removes/purges political opposition
real or imagined.

> The left and right referred to in these threads for the most part

That seems to be a preconceived idea rather than something supported
by facts. Personally I don't see any difference between both extremes.

> As for the shooter in Tucson his politics is still being

I haven't seen anything credible showing his political beliefs changed
or his killings were politically motivated. If you can point me to a
source that does, please do so.

Couldn't agree with you more and I posted similar feelings early.
However where I disagree with you is where you assume it was political
and it came from the right unless proven otherwise.

Lack of facts did not stop people both public and private from placing
blame on conservatives and heated political discourse without a shred
of evidence. Never was a search for truth but capitalizing on a
tragedy. In a true search for truth you have to set aside preconceived
ideas and go where the evidence takes you.

Of course. The only difference between the DNC and the mentioned groups
are simply the body counts.

While some of these dictators may profess support of the common
person, often considered a "leftist idea" I would say that they are
like most tyrants supprese any opposision any way you can.just so you
can stay in power, and that process becomes circular, the harder you
press the more the oppressed fight back and the harder you have to
press.I don't consider these people left or right, just megalomaniacs.

That seem to be the operative word-preconcieved-but I'm still going to
go with more right leaning than left on this one.

I reaaly don't have the time or energy to follow up every variation
on his poiltics, but several short pieces I've read on BBC or heard on
local ABC have had intervues with people who supposedly knew him and
mentioned a drift from left to right.but that could be simplistic

Personal view, with the ongoing noise, especially from the right, wiith
things like "don't retreat-reload",and "if the ballot doesn't
work, maybe 2nd ammendment remedies will",and the ongoning noise from
beck ,limbugh et al,-plus of course gunner's great cull- I can easily
see an unstabe person going over the edge.In fact I can think of at
least one case where that has happened.
San francisco last summer,July or August, not sure on exact date,CHP
stopped a pickup driving erratically on the freeway in Oakland, the
driver opened fire on the CHP,and when it was over the person, armed
with armour piercing bullets and armoured vests, said he was on his
way to the Tide organistion meeting to take out the top people, and he
was doing that because of what he heard on Glenn beck's radio show.

I know, I was answering a previous post by someone else. It may have

The BBC is not an unbiased publication IMO. I have seen and read some
ABC and other major news agency reports. None of those (that I am
aware of) have anything in them that support a shift in beliefs of the
shooter away from the left as you suggest.

Everything I have seen so far leads toward mental illness and the
shooting wasn't politically motivated.

I am unaware of this incident please provide a news source.

I don't watch or listen to Glenn Beck nor do I know who/what "Tide"
is. Please provide a source showing where Glenn Becks radio show
incited the shooter in Oakland. I do cross Glenn Beck sometimes when
channel surfing and it is amazing how much his style looks more and
more like the "Reverend" Gene Scott.

However grouping everyone into one group due to one extremists actions
is illogical, it's like saying David Koresh or Jim Jones represents
all Christianity/Religion in America. Is this man on C-span
representative of the left?

We can only hope. Shrug. As Ive stated repeatedly..which you seem
unable to comprehend..Ive stated I pray it doesnt happen. And if it
does, Ill not be participating, but simply sitting at home, feet on the
railing, playing happy riffs on the banjo as the rising body counts of
dead leftwingers, are announced over the radio.

Is there some version of retardation that runs in your family, or is it
simply the normal Leftwing mental illness that has caused your thought
processes to be so.....spotty?

Actually, you've stated that you look forward to it happening.

Unless you end up in jail first.

"Someday Boooooom while your setting in your offices," read a second. "And
you know I won't even be the one pulling the trigger," said another.

Only to certain posters here. Oh yes indeed. You of course happen to be
one of them.

For what crime? Playing the banjo poorly? Playing too happily?

Of course. I will hardly be involved in your death if you poke a bobby
pin in a 220 dryer outlet, but I can predict the results fairly
accurately.

So telling someone they are fucking up and as a result will die from
their actions..is somehow MY fault?

You really ARE a Far Leftwing Extremist Fringe Kook, arnt
you.....shrug..your mental illness is so clearly shown by the content of
your complaints.

It should be noted that not only do I NOT know who you are..but Ive not
a clue where you are. Shrug. Nor do I care. So in your fevered
imagination..I can I be making a threat to a faceless, unknown troll?

But others clearly DO know who and where you live..and when the Great
Cull happens...they may well indeed take action against you.

Im sure you and I both have records in the NSA computers, available to
any government agency with the proper clearences, or the proper
requests.

Even if they paid any attention to either of us engaged in Usenet
combat...they can find us easily.

On the third hand..a great number of those people are Conservative and
while they too may not take your removal in hand personally..Im sure
there are lists of names..conservative like me ,and Fringe Kookers such
as yourself, that are maintained by various organizations. Some of
whom are friendly to my side, some to your side.

In fact..Ive been led to believe that there is a List of Far Leftwing
Extremist Fringe Kookers that will be acted on when the Great Cull
occurs. And Im sure..quite sure your name and data are on it.

So as far as Im concerned.. you are quite likely to be a walking dead
man, just rather far down the list.

And son? Im quite comfortable with that. Indeed.

When the People drag you out and hang you from a bit of barbed wire
after kicking you off a lawn chair..Ill be very happy. In fact..I hope
the doers send me a video clip of your ending. Knowing you were disposed
of, along with the many thousands of your bretheren..and knowing that
you will be gone into a mass grave somewhere along with the rest of the
trash who have tried so hard to ruin America..will allow me to believe
that America will indeed survive.

If there is no Great Cull..it appears that your lot will be minimalized,
stigmatized and marginalized, based on recent elections and public
polls..but it will simply take longer for my country to recover from
your attempts to destroy America.

But...shrug..your effects on the nation in either case...will end...in
one case, very quickly..in the other..over time.

Either way works for me..but Im an old man..and Id like to see America
restored before I take my next turn on the Cosmic Wheel.

Now was there anything else you wished to spew about?

I didn't know that I'd made your list.

Well, so far, conspiracy. That is about the only conclusion to be drawn from
your statements.

You aren't even sure where your next Happy Meal will come from.

I'm on the American side.
You, on the other hand, are just a deranged k00K.

My brief comments lead you to a 300 word pile of garbage from you.
Spew, with it's attendant drool amd spittle, is your forte.

Odd...John Carrol...I didnt bother to read the headers..you sounded so

posted as I would to the other wanker.

You I do know who you are. Shrug. Which means absolutely nothing. I
havent a clue where you live or work. Or what caused you to slip so
badly off the rails and over to the Far leftwing extremism side.

"John Carrol is alleged to be a gay Sub and his top is a runner of gay
male prostitutes"

Now that was a brief comment. Think it wont generate more than 300
words of garbage?

(and the comment is used only for discussion and I really dont think he
is being run as a hooker by his top)

Your turn, Johnnyboi
