DNA Lab Testing

Hi All,

Just found this list because, out of the blue, there is now a chance that I
may have found my birth family (I'm 48). My potential half-sister and
half-brother have both suggested DNA testing.

I have done an Internet search on labs and services, and it seems like the
price range goes between $150 to $1000.

Does anyone have experience with DNA testing labs? Any that someone can
recommend or, conversely, suggest avoiding?

Also, is it possible that in doing the "half-sibling" test that it is
possible that the results could indicate "full-sibling" status? (I suspect
that this is a possibility, as the story of my....procreaton is not exactly
clear, and both my birth mom and the birth dad of my potential half/full
siblings have passed away).
