I was born Wanda Marie Schump on May 30, 1966 in St.
John's, Newfoundland, Canada. I was born at the Salvation
Army Grace General Hospital, and the physician was Dr.
Harry Roberts. My bmother's name was Geraldine Schump. She
was raised by Ellen and Ron Cooney on Burke's Rd. in Corner
Brook, Newfoundland, so she may have gone by the last name
Cooney, but she was never formally adopted. The Cooney
family moved to St. John's in the late 1940s or early
1950s. Her last known address there was Prescott St. The
last known contact with my mother was in the late 1960s,
when she married and left the country. It is believed she
married an American because of the closure of American
bases during that time period. I also have a birth brother,
born in 1963. I have no further information regarding his
whereabouts.
