BRITISH AEROSPACE AGM PROTEST - WEDNESDAY 28th APRIL 1999

Campaign Against the Arms Trade (CAAT) will be mounting a protest at
BAe's AGM at the QEII Conference Centre in central London on Wednesday
28th April.

We will be protesting both inside and outside the meeting and would
welcome anyone who would like to get involved in some NVDA.

BAe are the UK's largest arms exporting company - due to become even
bigger by its planned merger with GEC. 16 BAe Hawk attack fighters are
due to leave the UK for Indonesia soon, despite world-wide protest about
human rights abuses and the illegal occupation of East Timor. They have
also recently struck a licensing deal for the sale of 200,000 assault
rifles to the Turkish military. Turkey continue their brutal repression
of the Kurdish people.

How you can help:

1. Buy a "token share" if you want to take part in the inside protest.
"Token shares" can be bought from the CAAT office until 1st April.

2. Take part in the outside protest. We want stunts, street theatre,
banners and props, any entertainment. Contact CAAT if you can help.

The next open planning meetings for the protest are on 10th Feb & 24th
March at 6.30pm in the CAAT office.
